The first weekend at your own plot

An evening on the terrace at The Neer Creek
An evening on the terrace at The Neer Creek

The papers are signed, the plot is yours, and Friday is coming. If you have just bought at The Neer Creek by Bhavya - twenty-one private villa plots at Saroda, near Rai University on SH-144 - the first weekend on your own land is worth a little planning. Here is a simple way to shape it.

Keep the first visit simple

The first weekend is not about doing work. It is about standing on your own plot at different hours - morning light on the east side, shade in the afternoon, the sky at dusk - and letting the land tell you where the sit-out wants to be. Bring chairs, a thermos and time.

What to bring

A short list covers most first weekends: folding chairs and a mat, drinking water and snacks, a hat and sunscreen for the afternoon, a torch for the walk back after sunset, and a tape measure and notebook for the ideas that always arrive on site. With children, add a ball or a kite - open land does the rest.

Walk the whole community

Do not stop at your own boundary. Walk the lane alignments, stand where the grove and sensory pond are planned on the masterplan, and picture the maidaan and playground that are planned as shared spaces. Understanding the whole twenty-one-plot community helps you place your own villa design better.

Talk design while the land is fresh

The Neer Creek offers 2 and 3 BHK weekend villa designs. The best time to compare them is right after a site walk, when the orientation, breeze and views of your plot are still fresh in mind. It is an easy decision to talk through over chai on the plot itself.
